November 2002 Issues Forums

Live Issue Forums:
On Tuesday, October 8, 2002, the League of Women Voters of San Francisco is proud to present a voters forum on San Francisco's proposed Hetch Hetchy water infrastructure upgrade bond measure. The forum will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m., in the Koret Auditorium of the Main SF Public library. This forum is free, and all interested in learning more about this important project are invited to attend. Speakers will include the following:

John Rizzo, Sierra Club
Jeanne Myerson, SPUR
Joan Giradot, Coalition for San Francisco Neighborhoods

Televised Ballot Measure Discussions:
The League of Women Voters of San Francisco Education Fund and SFGTV, Cable 26, have for a number of years produced a series of video programs in which proponents and opponents of San Francisco's ballot measures discuss the election proposals with a League moderator. For the November 2002 election, we taped discussions about the following local ballot measures: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, L, N, O, R, and S. The programs are aired over the course of several weeks leading up to the election. Please check the SFGTV website for schedules.
